About Us - School Aims

The School Aims are being revisited at present in light of the developments of the Curriculum for Excellence.

In the meantime, please see the aims we have worked towards up until now .

These statements of intent are the starting point of the planning process against which all priorities are set, work undertaken and sucess measured.

They cover aspects such as learning and teaching, pupil attainment, ethos, partnership and parents and community interest.

to provide all children with a learning environment relevant to their individual needs, based on the 5-14 programme.
to continue to monitor, evaluate and develop learning and teaching, within an environment which promotes ownership and team commitment.
to continue the development of evaluation and assessment procedures in curricular areas in order to measure, record, analyse and promote attainment with increasing accuracy.
to share good practice and provide opportunities for staff to develop both personally and professionally.
to develop awareness, understanding and tolerance of each other as equals, by promoting a happy and secure atmosphere where efforts and achievements are rewarded.
to continue our involvement within the community and welcome parents and other members of the community as partners to share in the life of the school.
