The objectives of the Parent Council are:

• To promote partnership and open communication between the school, its pupils and all its parents and carers
• To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils
• To identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils
• To raise funds to benefit the School and pupils in a forum that works in harmony with the school and the wider community.

The Parent Council has set out a plan for 2008-09 which includes:

 

- Improving school communications

- Helping the school with eco-schools and health inprovement

- Getting parents better informed about "A Curriculum for Excellence"

- Travel improvements

- Outreach to the wider community
